“Rompetrol Command Center (ROC) is a first in Romanian oil industry, enabling real time monitoring and management of Rompetrol’s petroleum transport and distribution scheduling as well as coordination of activities of its filling stations. The new terminal will ensure a full quality control and management of the distribution of petroleum products from the refinery to people’s cars”, said Titov Buzescu, managing director of Rompoetrol Downstream and vice-president retail and marketing of Rompetrol Group.
Among the parameters monitored by the new system are those afferent to the filling station equipment, fuel stocks, safety (motion, access, temperature, smoke, explosion sensors, and video cameras), as well as the monitoring system of petrol tanks, and fuel unloading process.
The new command center is currently monitoring Rompetrol Expres mobile filling stations, own outlets and retail stations with a 20cm-capacity designed to large fuel consumers such as companies in food, construction and transportation industry.
By the end of August, the oil company will integrate in the automated monitoring system the activities of its Partener Rompetrol stations and its 9cm-capacity stations.
