British Airways’ country manager for Romania to head operations in the Balkans

British Airways’ country manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, Emil Delibashev has been appointed as commercial manager of the carrier in the Balkans.

Thus, its range of duties will include the following countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia and Albania.

Emil has taken the lead of British Airways operations in the mentioned countries on May 1, 2009.

His appointed came as a result of the recent management shuffle and lines up to the new executive structures in Central and Eastern Europe.

“It is a privilege and a challenge to continue developing British Airways’ operations, now at a larger scale. The regional know-how and extensive experience in aviation, combined with the local teams’ expertise will work to keep British Airways’ services and brand in the leading position”, said Delibashev (photo).

Delibashev has been at British Airways for nearly ten years, starting from travel coordinator to account manager in Bulgaria, until 2001 when he was appointed country manager.

British Airways holds a market share of over 50% in Bucharest-London route, operating 2 flights per day.
