Alexandra Gatej, appointed early July as adviser to the president of Domestic and International Business Department within the Presidential Administration, had been receiving a monthly compensation of 18,000 euros (797,777 lei) last year, as chairman of Unilever South Central Europe, according to the personal income declaration made public on the Romania’s presidency website.
Apart from the monthly salary, Corina Alexandra Gatej reported a gain of 20,397 from the trading of Unilever NV stocks.
Gatej also holds securities: 5453.9 stock options at Unilever, 375 stocks at Unilever PLC, 389 at Unilever NV and at the company where her husband is the sole shareholder, SC Neurodesign Studio SRL. The adviser to the president also granted a loan of 334,121 lei to Universul Enciclopedic publishing house and has a stock placement of 423,000 lei.
The former chairman of Unilever South Central Europe has a 191,250 euro mortgage at HVB Unicredit due in 2019.
