Petrescu will be taking on the new role on August 17, at the Citi EMEA office in London and will head the human resources activity for consumer banking in Central and Eastern European countries.
“The role of a Regional HR Business Partner primarily consists in strategic coordination of human resources, collaboration with the business partners, both for devising priorities and strategies in the countries in the region. I will remain in contact with Romania and other countries with growth potential in the region and this aspect is highly motivating for me”, Florin Petrescu told Wall-Street.
He refused to say who would fill the post left vacant at Citibank Romania.
During 2002-2008, Petrescu was appointed as human resources manager of Citibank Romania, being promoted in July 2008 as HR manager Citibank Romania and Bulgaria.
Since 2006, Petrescu is also deputy managing director of Citibank Romania.
