The new hypermarket will have a retail space of 150,000sqm and market over 50,000 products.

The new location will bring the total number of Auchan units to 7 in the country: two in Bucharest (Titan and Militari) and in one in Pitesti, Targu-Mures, Cluj-Napoca and Suceava each.

Auchan said it would continue the expansion process with a new unit in Constanta.

Auchan is one of world’s largest retail companies in Romania with 489 hypermarkets in 13 countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, China, Taiwan and United Arab Emirates).
