The brands with the best online presence are Dacia (accredited with 30% of the votes), BCR (10%), Petrom (7%), Ursus (4%), eMag (4%), Romtelecom (3%), Murfatlar (3%), Arctic (3%), eJobs (3%) and BRD (3%).
The most popular Romanian brands are Dacia (33%), Ursus (6%), Petrom (5%), Arctic (5%), BCR (5%), Murfatlar (4%), Borsec (4%) and Poiana (4%).
In the most trusted brands category, Dacia came top once again with 27% votes, followed by Arctic (6%), Petrom (5%), Borsec (5%), Murfatlar (5%), Dorna (4%), CEC (4%), Napolact (4%) and Ursus (3%).
62% of the respondents said good-quality products and services it’s what makes a brand successful, while 45% cited notoriety as the relevant factor, and 32% pointed to healthy sales.
In the banking/insurance category, the most popular brands are BCR (56%), ING (43%), BRD (41%), Banca Romaneasca (20%) and Asirom (11%).
Nivea took the top spot in the cosmetics/personal care category, followed by Gillette, Colgate, Dove, Loreal, Avon, Blend-a-med, Vichy, Garnier and Oriflame.
In the automotive category, the most popular brands are Dacia, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Toyota, Opel, Renault, Volkswagen and Ford, while in the telecom section, Orange emerged as the best-known brand, followed by Vodafone, Cosmote, Romtelecom and RCS&RDS.
The Online Leading Brands survey of was carried between January 14 and 25, 2010. 2,400 Romanian internet users aged 18-45 took part in the survey.
