BSE stocks end mixed

Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange ended mixed Wednesday, with a slight decline of composite index, while financial investment companies sector closed up 0.4%, in a liquidity popped up by bond transactions.

The liquidity at the Bucharest Stock Exchange stood at 19.50 million lei (€4.73 million), half the size of yesterday’s trading total. Fixed-income securities liquidity totaled 78.55 million lei (€19.05 million), buoyed by the transfer of 6,741 state securities.

BET index that gauges the performance of the ten most actively traded stocks at BSE shed 0.28% to 5,345.51 points, while the composite BET-C fell 0.16% to 3,074.70 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies (BSE: SIF) gained 0.39% to 30,084.78 points, while Vienna’s ROTX fell 0.40% to 10,723.39 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks at BSE held steady at 536.49 points, while BET-NG of the ten energy stocks closed 0.04% lower to 711.32 points.

FIC Oltenia shares (BSE: SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, notwithstanding the severe decline in liquidity to 3.86 million lei. Stock prices held steady at 1.63 lei. FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) rose 0.70% to 1.43 lei.

Dafora Medias sparked again investors’ interest today, with transactions totaling 2.04 million lei, and stock prices moved 2.86% higher to 0.1440 lei.

In the banking sector BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) closed 0.67% lower to 14.80 lei, while Banca Transilvania remained at 2.17 lei.
