The telecom infrastructure upgrade contract involves the upgrading of its PSTN-based system to voice over internet protocol (VoIP) that reduces telecommunication fees while offering a wide array of functions, such as mail, instant messaging, presence, and video conferencing.

Data Plus is the only company that submitted a bid for the contract that cannot be subcontracted.

The company posted €3.6 million revenues in 2008 and €20,000 profit according to data published on the website of the Ministry of Finance.
