The liquidity at the stock market increased slightly today to 22.73 million lei (€5.59 million), from 18.07 million lei (€4.45 million yesterday). Bond market has seen state securities worth 35.89 million lei (€8.82 million) changing hands.

“The market has been pretty quiet today, as European stock markets were recording a narrow liquidity as well. We may see BSE stuck turn lower in the coming period, as the market seems to have lost steam”, said Mihai Muresian, trader at Intercapital Invest.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks rose 0.16% to 6,008.10 points, while composite BET-C gained 0.77% to 3,494.57 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies posted a modest 0.03% gain and closed at 31,950.75 points, while Vienna’s ROTX rose the most, by 1.11% to 11,981.34 points.

BET-XT index, of the 25 most traded stocks finished up 0.51% to 591.74 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks suffered 0.19% decline and ended at 801.23 points.

Banca Transilvania shares (BSE:TLV) have been the most traded today, with a total trading value of 6.74 million lei, while stock prices dropped 1.26% to 2.36 lei. BRD SocGen increased by 2.61% to 15.70 lei.

“Banca Transilvania stocks grabbed the spotlight today, and touched a new record high today, but dropped ever since and closed down”, Intercapital trader said.

In the FIC sector, FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) finished flat at 1.79 lei while FIC Transilvania (BSE:SIF3) gained 0.58% to 0.8650 lei.
