The national currency hovered near 4.13 lei/euro in the early trades, but recouped losses at noon. In th region, the Polish zloty that fell after the Saturday’s tragedy when Poland’s president died in a plane crash, grew markedly in the morning today, from around 3.90 units/euro to 3.867 zloty/euro.

“The market is stable. The Poland tragedy didn’t have a major impact on currencies, maybe emotionally only”, a dealer told NewsIn.

For the US dollar, the central bank set a reference rate of 3.0361 lei/dollar, down 1.57% from Friday.
