The National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 4.1380 lei/euro, down 0.12% from yesterday, as all currencies in the region rebounded after yesterday's sharp decline on Greece debt worries.
On Wednesday, NBR set a reference rate of 4.1430 lei/euro.
The national currency opened at 4.1457 units/euro in the early trades but grew gradually to 4.1323 lei/euro.
In the region, the Polish zloty hovered between 3.9085 and 3.9324 zloty/euro, without a clear direction, while the Hungarian forint fell steadily from 269.75 to 267.95 forint/euro.
For the U.S. dollar, the central bank set a reference rate of 3.1211 lei/dollar, down 0.65% from yesterday's one-year high.
