Investitia initiala in lansarea Vox News se ridica la aproximativ 1 milion de dolari, suma ce va fi folosita in achizitionarea de echipamente.

Cheltuielile pentru Vox News sunt estimate la 2,6 mil. euro, pana in mai 2010. In plus, compania preconizeaza pentru primele 12 luni de la lansare venituri din publicitate de aproximativ 1 mil. euro.

“A fost ideea unei televiziuni cu aplecare atat catre partea sociala, cat si spre segmentul de stiri. Traim intr-o Romanie aflata in tranzitie de 20 de ani, cu probleme sociale grave. Vom aborda teme legate de sistemul de sanatate si de sistemul de educatie”, declara Emil Jascau, directorul Vox News.

Chiritoiu explained the investigation is not concerned with the matter of competition per se, but the manner the concentration in 2007 was handled.

The investigation was launched last year, and no conclusion has yet been reached. If the conclusion is reached that Pro TV failed to notify the Council, although it should have, the company risks a fine worth up to 1% of its total turnover. The Competition Council’s decision can be challenged in court.

The initial investment in launching the Vox News TV channel amounts to approximately 1 million dollars, which would be earmarked for equipment acquisition.

The total expenditures for Vox News are estimated at 2.6 million euros, until May, 2010. Furthermore, the company expects ad revenues of nearly 1 million euros in the first 12 months of broadcasting.

“It was the idea of a television focused on social aspects and news. We live in a country in transition for 20 years that is facing major social issues. We will tap into health and education problems as well”, said Emil Jascau, director of Vox News.
