Below 1 million eurosAmong the ‘cheapest’ offers in Bucharest are the penthouses at Felicity building, developed by GTC in Bucharest. The two apartments available have 117sqm of interior space and 22 sqm of terraces and cost 150,000 euros, the parking space being priced-in.

In Edenia projects, developed by Adama in Titan area, a four-room penthouse that has 189sqm of interior space and 46sqm of terraces, costs 209,000 euros. In the same building, another three-room penthouse covering 153 square meters and 31 square meters of terraces is priced at 174,000 euros.

The seven unfinished penthouses at the Asmita Gardens building on Splaiul Unirii blvd will be priced at 800,000 euros. So far, among the buyers of apartments at Asmita Gardens are celebrities such as Nicoleta Luciu, Florin Piersic Jr. and Calin Goia.

A penthouse in Herastrau area that has 220 square meters of interior space is priced at 900,000 euros, according to real estate consultant DTZ Echinox, the sales agent. The apartment is part of larger project, with rich view of Herastrau park and into the interior pool.

Above one million eurosFor prices ranging between one million euros and one and a half, there are two penthouses available, one in Primavarii area and the other one on Dorobanti blvd.

“A penthouse must have a minimum 200 square meters of interior space, at least three bedrooms and large terraces. Considering these standards, we find many condos that don’t conform to these rules, especially in the local real estate market where any top-floor apartment is labeled as penthouse”, said George Ivan, senior consultant with DTZ Echinox.

Therefore, a penthouse in Dorobanti area at Washington Residence building with 400 square meters of living space, costs 1.4 million euros. Washington Residence is located in Washington Street and was built by Sirius International, and delivered in 2005.

A 277-square meters penthouse in Primaverii area is priced at 1.5 million euros.

2 million euros

2 million eurosThe third most expensive apartment is a duplex spread over the fifth and sixth floor of a building in Primaverii area. According to the sales agent Regatta, the maisonette costs 2 million euros.

In the lower unit are two bedrooms, a dressing room and two bathrooms, while in the upper unit are the living room, a bathroom, the kitchen and the terrace.

The building was constructed in 2004 and includes a gym, a sauna and parking spaces.

3-3.5 million eurosOn the second spot is a penthouse in Herastrau area that starts from 3 million euros, according to real estate consultant DTZ Echinox. The duplex apartment with garden and lake view has 600 square meters of space, parking spaces and storage space in underground story. The dwelling also includes a Jacuzzi on the terrace and barbecue.

The priciest penthouse currently for sale in Bucharest costs no less than 3.5 million euros, according to data provided by the sales agent, Regatta. The apartment has 500 square meters, of which 200 square meters of terrace. The apartment can be found in Floreasca area and has view to the nearby lake.
