Bonds grab traders' attention

The bonds issued by International Bank for Reconstruction and Development were subject to trades worth 25.4 million lei (6.04 million euros) in today’s session of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, this being the largest transaction with these instruments year to date.

25,210 IBRD bonds were traded earlier today at 98.24 lei/share, 0.57% up from prior quotas.

Earlier today, another 911 benchmark state securities due in 2010 (B1010A) were traded for an aggregated 8.95 mln lei (2.12 mln euros).

The bonds issued by Banca Comerciala Romana due in November this year were subject to total exchange of 130,000 lei, after a trade yesterday that involved 5.35 million lei (1.27 million euros).

Today’s bond trades raised the stock market liquidity to 34.48 million lei (8.2 mln euros).
