NBR posted yesterday an exchange rate of 4.2673 lei per euro.

The single European currency was traded for 4.27 lei at debut and slipped to 4.2670 after the first trades. The leu then fell to 4.28 per euro and edged up to 4.2760 afterwards. At 1:15 p.m. banks were buying a euro with 4.2730 lei and selling it for 4.2780 lei.

In the region, the Polish zloty dropped from 4.2090 to 4.2437 versus the euro and then strengthened to 4.23, while Hungary's forint lost from 268.50 to 271.35 per euro, only to come back at 270.30 afterwards.

The U.S. dollar had a different evolution and decreased 0.17 percent according to NBR-set exchange rate, to 2.8952 lei per euro, from yesterday's 2.9001.
