Pizza Hut opens fourth delivery unit in Bucharest

Pizza Hut restaurant chain said it would open in mid November a new PHD outlet (Pizza Hut Delivery) in Auchan Titan, which represents a €150,000 investment.
This is the fourth delivery outlet opened by Pizza Hut in Bucharest, after the units in Obor, Vitan and Ion Mihalache areas, and will create 20 new jobs.

PHD’s client base in Bucharest includes around 19,160. In Europe, PHD operates in four countries: Romania, France, Bulgaria and UK.

PHD Romania, the home delivery division of Pizza Hut expects €2mln revenues this year and three new outlets in Bucharest.

The first delivery unit of PHD in Romania was opened in December 2007, in Vitan area, and the second one ten months after in Obor.

Pizza Hut restaurant chain reported €10 mln revenues in 2008, up 11% from a year earlier.

In first half, Pizza Hut said its revenues fell slightly year-on-year, down to €4.5 million.

The Pizza Hut franchisee, American Restaurant System operates 13 Pizza Hut restaurants, six of them in Bucharest, two in Constanta, two in Cluj, and one in Timisoara, Iasi and Bacau each.
