FIC stocks close 4% higher

FIC sector (BSE:SIF) at the Bucharest Stock Exchange jumped 4% today, as the market closed 1.42% higher, and thus joined the world stock rally.

On Monday, the Bucharest Stock Exchange traded around 13.48 million lei (€3.15 million), up 46% from Friday’s close of 9.21 million lei (€2.1 million). 100 state securities worth 974,765 lei changed hands today.

BET index that gauges the performance of the ten most liquid stocks at the BSE finished up 1.42% to 4,913.48 points, while the composite BET-C edged up 1.42 % to 2,834.39.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies (BSE:SIF) gained 3.99% to 23,735.54 points, while Vienna Stock Exchange’s ROTX fell closed up 1.31% to 10,239.98 points.

BET-XT index that measures the performance of the 25 most liquid shares moved 2.18% higher to 475.92, and BET-NG of the energy companies listed at BSE increased 0.69% to 622.51 points.

European stock markets rallied at the BSE’s closing hour. FTSE index of leading 100 shares was up 1.52% to 5,347.65 points while Germany’s DAX inched up 2.07% to 5,780.60. Paris’ CAC40 was increasing by 2.08% to 3,806.99 points.

FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) has led the most traded stock chart today, with shares worth 4.56 million lei changing hands, pushing prices up 4.17% to 1.25 lei, followed by FIC Moldova (BSE:FIC2) with a 4.67% growth to 1.12 lei, and a liquidity of 2.89 million lei.

In financial sector, BRD SocGen stocks gained 2.29% to 14.10 lei after shares worth 1 million lei changed hands. Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) finished up 1.42% to 2.15lei in a liquidity of 438,900.

Transactions with Dafora Medias (BSE: DAFR) totaled 263,000, while stock prices were steady at 0.103. Biofarm (BSE:BIO) jumped 2.216lei, in a total liquidity of mere 158,200.
