Romanian National Securities Commission has brought criminal charges in a probe into activities of seven former Broker Cluj brokers, while five others are facing foreclosure to compensate injuries brought to investors, shortly after the investigation into the broking firm earlier this year had shed light into the company’s shady practices, and had led to the removal of the company’s management and to the sanctioning of several persons involved in the alleged fraud.
Recently the national securities commission has decided to regulate the relations between persons restricted to any stock market activity and monitored entities, after enacting a clause that forbids any contractual relation between these category of persons and entities under scrutiny.
Apart from the persons under criminal investigation, Broker has also claimed the foreclosure of other five employees involved in the early-year scandal, from whom the company has recovered or is on track to recover amounts equivalent to the created damages.
