Bespoke analyses will add 10-15% to Media Imageĺs turnover in 2010

The local provider of media monitoring and evaluation, Media Image, said it expects a 10-15% growth in turnover, to €1.8 million. A large portion of the growth will be driven by the bespoke analyses of the media content, Miron Mateescu, marketing director told Wall-Street.
Media Image has recently joined AMEC - International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication, the global trade body and professional institute for agencies and practitioners who provide media evaluation and communication research.

Media Image is the first in Romanian media monitoring agency to join AMEC, a group that includes TNS Intelligence, Landau Media, Milward Brown Precis, Ausschnit Medienbeobachtung and others.

The membership application process took few months. During that period, Media Image’s monitoring procedures have been assessed by international professionals.

AMEC membership enables Media Image to take part in the sole international study in media content analyses – International Business Monitor that delivers data on the value of media analysis markets, and clients.

“The addition to International Business Monitor allows us to eliminate a wrong approach in the Romanian communication market, namely that «media analysis» is all about counting some articles, comparing the figures with the one obtained by the competition or with the ones obtained earlier. With this study, we hope that more companies in Romania will show greater interest in «brand attributes», «corporate communication topics» or «potential audience of corporate messages» concepts”.

Media monitoring agency Media Image Group was established in 1999 and employs 120. Its customer base reached 300, and includes companies such as: Carrefour, Dacia, Bancpost, ING Group, Alpha Bank, Unicredit Tiriac Bank, Bursa de Valori Bucuresti, OMV-Petrom, Orange, Vodafone, Cosmote, Romtelecom, Cora, URSUS, Marriott, E.ON, GDF Suez, Nestle, P&G, Unilever, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ministry of Interior, and UNICEF.
