FICs close down 0.17%

Shares at the Bucharest Stock Exchange rose 1.05% today, while the financial investment companies (BSE:FIC) moved 0.17% lower in a market buoyed by transactions with Biofarm, Dafora and Azomures.

The liquidity at the Bucharest Stock Exchange grew 68.4% today, to 25.64 million lei (€6.26 million) from 15.23 million lei yesterday.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks at BSE closed up 0.72% to 5,541.23 points, while the composite BET-C rose 1.05% to 3,204.41 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies shed 0.17% to 29,453.83 points, while Vienna’s ROTX rose 0.64% to 11,045.55 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks gained 0.60% to 544.54 points, while BET-NG of ten energy stocks increased by 0.29% to 741.76 points.

AT BSE’s closing, European stock markets were posting modest gains. At the London Stock Exchange, FTSE index of the leading 100 companies was increasing by 0.02% to 5,603.68 points, while Germany’s DAX was inching up 0.18% to 5,896.37 points. France’s CAC40 was increasing by 0.36% to 3,924.02 points.

Biofarm shares (BSE:BIO) have been the most traded today, with a total liquidity of 3.7 million lei, while stock prices jumped 3.26% to 0.222lei. Azomures (BSE: AZO) closed up 4.01% to 0.389 lei.

Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) traded 1.79% higher today to 2.28 lei, while BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) held steady at 14.50 lei.

FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) fell 0.63% to 1.59 lei, while FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) shed 0.71%.
