BSE stocks finish up 1.4%

Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange closed up 1% across-the-board today, in line with other markets in the region, the biggest gains being recorded by financial investment companies, with an average of 2.7% at closing.

The liquidity at the Bucharest Stock Exchange jumped 75.2% to 25.99 million lei (€6.34 million), from 14.83 million lei yesterday.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks at BSE finished up 1.18% to 5,614.51 points, while composite BET-C rose 1.44% to 3,256.43 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies outperformed the market, and closed 2.73% up to 30,256.58 points, while Vienna’s ROTX rose 1.68% to 11,229.64 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks climbed 1.76% to 554.51 points, while BET-NG of ten energy stocks rose 1.19% to 753.00 points.

Europe’s largest stock markets were moving higher at BSE’s closing. At the London Stock Exchange, FTSE index of the leading 100 companies was increasing 0.44% to 5,641.87 points, while Germany’s DAX was moving 0.80% higher to 5,975.96 points. France’s CAC40 was increasing by 0.34% to 3,942.37 points.

FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with a total trading liquidity of 9.23 million lei, while stock prices jumped 3.14% to 1.64 lei. FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) rose 2.88% to 1.43 lei.

Azomures (BSE:AZO) increased by 2.12% to 0.386 lei, in a liquidity of 968,700 lei, while Petrom (BSE:SNP) climbed 1.75% to 0.291 lei.

In the banking sector, Erste Bank (BSE:EBS) jumped 3.9% to 122.50 lei, while BRD SocGen rose 1.37% to 14.80 lei.
