BSE stocks post strong gains

Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange eked out a strong gain today, after a choppy trade in the morning and short-lived negative variations throughout the day, with BET index and composite BET-C finishing up 2% while financial investment companies rose 0.87%.
The liquidity at the Bucharest equity market remained high today, at 43.63 million lei (€10.67 million), from 50.32 million lei (€12.26 million).

BET index that gauges the performance of the ten most actively traded stocks at BSE climbed 2.15% to 6,132.56 points, while composite BET-C rose 2.14% to 3,652.48 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies turned positive today, with 0.87% gain to 33,167.46 points, while Vienna’s ROTX jumped 2.24% to 12,357.58 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks finished up 1.79% to 613.50 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks closed up 2.06% to 830.36 points.

FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with 11.38 million lei total trade value, while stock prices moved up 1.58% to 1.93 lei. FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) closed flat at 1.52 lei.

In the banking sector, Banca Transilvania gained 1.74% and closed at 2.34 lei, while BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) climbed 1.92% to 15.90 lei.
