SIFs close down

Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange posted strong gains at closing today, while the five financial investment companies closed down 1.5%.
The total trade value at the equity market dropped mildly from yesterday to 26.42 million lei (€6.3 million).

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks rose 2.74% to 5,434.40 points, while composite BET-C jumped 2.43% to 3,270.78 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies gave up 1.66% and closed at 26,534.84 points, while Vienna’s ROTX increased by 2.68% to 11,288.74 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks climbed 1.71% to 526.64 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks finished up 1.52% to 747.65 points.

SIF Oltenia stocks (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded today, with 10.83 million lei liquidity, while stock prices slumped 7.26% to 1.66 lei. SIF Banat Crisana (BSE:SIF1) rose 4.80% to 1.31 lei, and recorded a total trade value of 1.93 million lei.

In the banking sector, Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) finished up 5.48% to 1.63 lei, while BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) increased by 2.88% to 14.3 lei.

OMV Petrom (BSE:SNP) jumped 3.23% to 0.32 lei, while Azomures (BSE:AZO) increased by 1.66% to 0.491 lei.
