SIFs end week 5% lower

Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange retreated today, led by financial investment companies that posted up to 4.80% loss.
The total trade value at the equity market rose mildly from yesterday, to 26.96 million lei (€6.44 million).

BET index that gauges the performance of the ten most actively traded stocks at BSE gave up 1.74% to 5,338.31 points, while the composite BET-C finished down 1.87% to 3,209.72 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies slumped 4.80% to 25,260.31 points, while Vienna’s ROTX closed down 1.86% to 11,078.40 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks shed 2.38% to 511.73 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks declined 1.69% to 735.02 points.

SIF Oltenia stocks (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded today with a total liquidity of 8.48 million lei, while stock prices fell 5.42% to 1.57 lei. SIF Banata Crisana (BSE:SIF1) plummeted 7.63% to 1.21 lei and attracted 1.75 million lei.

In the banking sector, Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) decreased by 1.84% to 1.60 lei, while Transgaz (BSE:TGN) dropped 0.47% to 232.9 lei.

Petrom (BSE:SNP) finished down 2.50% to 0.312 lei while Broker Cluj (BSE:BRK) dropped 4.62% to 0.289 lei.
