Austerity laws force Government to assume liability to the Government

Prime Minister Emil Boc said the Government will assume liability to the Parliament for the laws that contain the austerity measures agreed with the International Monetary Fund, that were passed on Sunday in extraordinary session.
“Either the Government remains committed to these laws or it is sacked and these laws are not enacted”, said the prime minister.

The first law draft envisages the reduction in public spending by cutting public wages, pensions and social benefits. The second one envisages the recalculation of the social pensions. The two projects will go to the Parliament on Monday most likely.
