Dear Mrs Negrina, I was impressed by your article, especially from the last paragraph where you kindly (and indeed relevantly) inform us about the shareholders of DTZ. This was a truly invaluable piece of information. I would like to congratulate you for your loyalty to your employer DTZ Romania, they must be delighted that almost every week you keep us informed about how great DTZ is. However, since you are a journalist you should also crosscheck the information you are given? The prices that you mention have nothing to do with the actual market. There is nobody paying 90 (ridiculous), 80 or 70 euro / sq.m. in downtown Bucharest at the moment! NOBODY! What is the point in inflating the prices?? What is the impact on the prestige and reliability of Wall-Street?

Dear Sir,

In reply to your comment regarding the accuracy of our research data, i would like to state that we are referring to 100 sq m premium commercial spaces located on the main thoroughfares of the capital city and that the rents we are specifying are asking levels.

Please see below the original text:
"With regard to high street retail asking rents for premium properties on the main thoroughfares of Bucharest decreased by a maximum of 15% quarter-on-quarter and varied between 70 and 90 per sq m per month for Magheru Balcescu Boulevards, followed by Calea Victoriei where asking rents vary between 55 and 75 per sq m per month. For both Calea Dorobanti and Bratianu Boulevard the rental patterns were set between 40-70 per sq m per month (for spaces of approximately 100 sq m)."

Should you have any other questions, don't hesitate to contact us at info@dtz.ro or 021 310 31 00.

Regards,

Evelina Necula, DTZ Echinox
