Google on the hunt for Country Business Development Manager, Romania



If in May this year, Yahoo was taking its first commitment to Romanian market by appointing Bobby Voicu as community manager, the most popular Internet search engine, Google, is on the hunt for Country Business Development Manager for Romania, after Radu Tudorache resigned from the American company earlier this year.

The position is available in Bucharest, and stands for any person with varied skills and talent, and ability to sell effectively, as the job add indicates, appeared on Google Jobs portal.

Furthermore, the future Country Business Development Manager must have thorough knowledge of the advertising business and deep sale experience.

Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate general management capability and proven ability to build a team.

According to Google Jobs, the future country business manager will be responsible for developing and executing on the overall marketing strategy within the country. The responsibility includes determining the appropriate channel strategy, support model, target advertisers and coordinating with functional team to achieve goals, which will primarily focus on regional business development.

This position will report to the Director, EMA New Markets.

The company requires from candidates University education, MBA being a strong plus, significant work experience in general management and/or advertising sales and proven record of strategic development of Fortune 1000 client base in Romania.

Google posted a 26% rising profit to 1.35 billion US dollars in third quarter as the market leader in online search engines and advertising coped with the deepening financial crisis.
