Arena Mall expects 5 million visitors in 2009

Arena Mall shopping center in Bacau has recently enhanced its retail surface to 26,000 sqm from 19,500 sqm and for 2009, it expects to attract five million visitors and to open new shops and leisure spaces.

The expansion of Arena Mall center in Bacau allowed many retailers to open shops inside of the center, such as international New Yorker and Reserved brands, their first branches in Moldova area. In 2009, Motivi and Humanic will open their first shops in this region as well.

Furthermore, the center will hold on January 15 the official opening of Cinema City, the first multiplex movie theater in Bacau which will have eight halls and 1,350 seats, and in the four halls will rule the first 3D projections in the region.

“Due to the mounting popularity and to the expansion of Arena Mall, we expect 5 million visitors in average in 2009”, said Florina Cojocari, account manager at CBER Eurisko, the real estate advisor in rental agreements.

Ovidiu Budeanu, managing director of Arena City Center, developer of Arena Mall said the company would further focus on marketing campaigns that would lead to boosting the attraction area by comprising the inhabitants in Piatra Neamt and Focsani cities which will lead to traffic and sales increase.
