E.ON Romania in talks with Sterling Resources for natural gas supply from mainland

E.ON Romania is ramping up efforts to purchase natural gas extracted by Sterling Resources from mainland platform in the Black Sea, said the managing director of E.ON Romania, Frank Hajdinjak.

“We are handling talks over the last few months with Sterling Resources to acquire natural gas that they could extract from the mainland platform. It is not probable for us to participate in the bid for assignment for those perimeters”, said Frank Hajdinjak.

On the mainland platform of Black Sea there are five deepwater wells (Lebada Est, Lebada Vest, Sinoe, Pescarus and Delta) of crude oil leased to Petrom. Moreover, Sterling Resources completed the open-hole logging at Doina and Ana reservoirs discovered by the company.

E.ON Romania is a platform company for all E.ON subsidiaries active in Romania: E.ON Gaz Romania, E.ON Gaz Distributie, E.ON Moldova Furnizare and E.ON Moldova Distributie.
