The exchange rate inches to 4.2850 lei per euro in early trades

Romania's national currency, the leu, resumed fall to 4.2850 versus the single European currency after gaining ground in the first transactions of the day, in line with other currencies in the region, NewsIn informs.
The leu was traded at 4.3050 against the euro in the opening transactions, but then the exchange rate lowered to 4.28. The national currency shifted to its downward path and at 10:30 a.m. banks bought the euro with 4.2843 lei and sold it for 4.2903 lei.

In the region, emerging currencies posted a similar evolution, with the Polish zloty appreciating first from 4.9140 to 4.8354 units per euro and then falling to 4.86. The Hungarian forint initially gained ground from 308.36 to 304.37 versus the euro, and then depreciated to 305.3.
