Rompoetrol Rafinare to extend an 110mln dollar syndicated credit facility



The board of Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC) is requesting to its stockholders to extend a 110mln-dollar syndicated credit facility as a back up for the acquisition of raw materials, according to the invitation remitted to Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The bookrunners of this transaction are Unicredit Tiriac Bank, Unicredit Bank Austria AG and Banca Comerciala Romana and is meant to back up the acquisition of crude oil, mazut and condensed gas.

The shareholders of Rompetrol were summoned to the general meeting scheduled for April 29.

The oil company that operates Petromidia refinery reported record loss for last year, of roughly 490.61 million lei (133.32 mln euros), in contrast with 314.32 million lei loss reported a year earlier.

Nevertheless, Rompetrol Rafinare’s turnover hiked nearly 60%, up to 8.66 bln lei (2.35 bln euros), versus 5.43 bln lei a year earlier.

The company has a total share capital of 2.11 bln lei, divided into 21.1 bln shares at 0.10 lei nominal value. Rompetrol stocks are traded at the second category of BSE’s regulated market, under RRC symbol.
