Biofarm sees a net profit of lei 14.2m in 2009

Romanian drug producer Biofarm expects a net profit of 14.16 million lei this year, after the 21.3 million lei losses recorded in 2008, NewsIn informs.
The company also counts on an 11 percent increase in turnover, from last year's 65.1 million lei to 72.77 million lei and plans to invest some 18.61 million lei.

Biofarm also announced that the first quarter of the year brought an 11 percent increase in net sales, to 18.63 million lei. The net profit also increased by 5 percent year-on-year, to 4.69 million lei.

Biofarm Bucharest has a share capital of 109.48 million lei, divided among 1.09 billion shares, at a face value of 0.10 lei. According to the last report, financial company SIF Oltenia controlled 16.42 percent of the shares, SIF Banat-Crisana held 12.53 percent and SIF Moldova owned 11.46 percent.
