Guenter Vosskaemper steps down from the board of Praktiker Romania
Michael Krahn will fill the CEO seat of Praktiker Romania DIY retailer as of May 1, replacing Guenter Vosskaemper (photo) after 7 years of leadership.
Guenter Vosskaemper left Romania in order to take up the position as managing director of Praktiker’s Turkish subsidiary.
The decision was made on the need to stimulate the retailer’s activity in Turkey. This is why the board chose one of the most successful managers of Praktiker International.
Before coming in Romania, Guenter Vosskaemper had an extensive experience in the company that included various tasks both in Germany and in Hungary where he was sales director between 1998 and 2002.
Aged 48, Michael Krahn was appointed for this mandate after nearly 20 years experience in Praktiker group, after heading the group’s sales division in Poland.
Michael Krahn was part of Praktiker Romania’s board since 2002 until the end of 2007 as sales director.
“My connection with Romania and former co-workers proved to be solid, and this is why I see this appointment as an opportunity to come back home”, said Michael Krahn, CEO of Praktiker Romania.
