Rompetrol opened 14 new filling stations this year



Rometrol Downstream, the retail division of the Romanian Rompetrol Group, built between January and April 14 new gas stations, the total investment amounting to over 10 million U.S. dollars, NewsIn informs.
Nine of the new units are Rompetrol Express mobile stations. They are located all across the country. Also, the company plans to open 75 new units this year, 40 of them Express and 25 internal basis, dedicated to the big fuel consumers.

Rompetrol Downstream operates internally over 450 gas stations and 7 fuel deposits. The Kazakhstan company KazMunaiGaz owns 75 percent of the group's shares.

Other oil companies revised downwards their plans to open filling stations because of the financial crisis which trimmed revenues. MOL Romania announced it is still betting on investments in filling stations, planning to consolidate the net and pay extra attention to cost management, according to the general director, Zsolt Szalay.
