Romgaz ends 2008 with a net profit of lei 537.29m
Romanian state-owned gas producer Romgaz ended last year with a net profit of 537.29 million lei and with a turnover of 3.280 billion lei, according to data sent by the company.
In 2007 the net profit stood at 509.55 million lei and the turnover at 3.271 billion lei.
Romgaz and Petrom produce about two thirds of the country's gas consumption.
Romgaz produced last year 5.850 billion cubic meters of gas, 0.75 percent from the 5.894 billion of 2007.
Romania used last year 17.3 billion cubic meters of gas, 1 billion more versus 2007.
