The benchmark exchange rate drops slightly on a low volatility market



The National Bank of Romania announced today a benchmark exchange rate of 4.2284 lei per euro, 0.11 percent lower than yesterday's rate, as the volatility was rather low and the trend to go up was seen in other regional currencies as well.
Yesterday's benchmark exchange rate was of 4.2329 lei per euro.

The leu swayed today between 4.2250 and 4.2320 versus the euro and at 14:20 banks were buying a euro for 4.2220 lei and selling it for 4.23 lei.

The Polish zloty grew gradually from 4.5513 to 4.53 per euro and the Hungarian forint swelled from 281.33 to 277.70 against the euro.

The leu-dollar rapport decreased by 1.39 percent today to 2.9968 from yesterday's 3.0391.
