Romgaz to collect accounts receivable worth 360 mln lei

Romanian state-owned gas supplier Romgaz has to collect some 360 million lei in accounts receivable, a sum accumulated until May 2009, out of which 85.5 million lei represent accumulated accounts receivable since the beginning of the year, NewsIn informs.
Romgaz representatives say the accounts receivable can be collected by legal means, as these are companies the gas producer has contracts with and which owe money to Romgaz.

The back payments that Romgaz has to collect from its debtors increased due to a hike in the price of gas.

Romgaz and Petrom produce about two thirds of the country's gas consumption.

Romgaz produced last year 5.850 billion cubic meters of gas, 0.75 percent from the 5.894 billion of 2007.

The gas producer ended last year with a net profit of 537.29 million lei and with a turnover of 3.280 billion lei.

Romania used last year 17.3 billion cubic meters of gas, 1 billion more versus 2007.
