Leu down 0.06% against euro at midday



Romania's national currency, the leu, inched 0.06 percent versus the euro according to the benchmark exchange rate settled by the National Bank of Romania at 4.2098, on a calm market, with a low volatility and few transactions, NewsIn informs.
NBR posted a benchmarkexchange rate of 4.2124 lei per euro yesterday.

The leu waved between 4.2040 and 4.2112 per euro during the first transactions and at 1:30 p.m. banks were buying a euro with 4.2045 lei and selling it for 4.2175 lei.

In the region, the zloty plunged from 4.1045 to 4.1515 over the euro, while the forint dipped from 267.47 to 269.01 versus the European currency.

For the U.S. dollar, NBR’s benchmark exchange rate declined 0.1 percent to 2.9233 lei per dollar, from 2.9262 in the previous session.
