SIF Moldova posts net profit of 89.39m lei in H1



Net profit of financial company SIF Moldova (SIF2) advanced 27 percent year-on-year in the first half, to 89.39 million lei, following exceptional results in the second quarter and the selling of some minority stakes, NewsIn informs.
The company reported a net profit of 70.6 million lei in the first half last year. It gained 85.22 million lei in the second quarter of 2009.

Revenues of SIF Moldova boosted 49 percent in the first six months to 148.85 million lei, from 99.84 million lei in the similar period of 2008. Expenses doubled in the first half, from 26.18 million lei to 55.72 million lei.

Its assets lowered 5 percent in the first half to 910.15 million lei, from 957.93 million lei at the end of 2008.

Shares of SIF Moldova are traded on the first tier of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) under the symbol SIF2. The company has a share capital of 51.91 million lei, divided into 519.09 million shares, at a face value of 0.10 lei.
