SIF Muntenia, 14% hike in half-year profit
Financial company SIF Muntenia (BSE: SIF4) closed the first half with a net profit of 73.17 million lei, a 15 percent increase on the same period of 2008, but its assets shrank 11 percent since the beginning of the year.
The company posted a net gain of 63.35 million lei in the first six months last year.
Assets of SIF Muntenia reached 1.24 million lei at the end of June, down 11 percent from 1.39 billion lei at the end of 2008, NewsIn informs.
The investment fund drew 7 percent higher revenues in the first half, to 108.66 million lei. Expenses increased 10 percent year-on-year, from 31.84 million lei to 34.86 million lei.
