Midday Forex: RON/EUR slightly down
The benchmark exchange rate established by the National Bank of Romania advanced 0.08 percent to 4.2495 lei per euro, following slight depreciation trend seen by most currencies in the region, NewsIn informs.
The central bank posted an exchange rate of 4.2463 lei per euro yesterday.
The leu stood at 4.24 – 4.2450 versus the euro at rising bell and soon fell to 4.25 – 4.2550.
In the region, the Polish zloty plunged from 4.1160 to 4.1870 versus the euro, while Hungary's forint lost from 271 to 273.70 per euro.
However, the benchmark exchange rate settled by NBR for the U.S. dollar reduced 0.23 percent to 2.9231 lei per dollar, from 2.9299 in the previous session.
