Midday Forex: Leu recoups some losses against euro



The benchmark RON/EUR rate settled by the National Bank of Romania dropped 0.17 percent to 4.2673 lei per euro, from yesterday's six-month high of 4.2747, as the other regional currencies had a similar evolution, NewsIn informs.
The euro was traded for 4.2690 – 4.2720 lei at rising bell and then soared to 4.2720 – 4.2750. At 1:10 p.m. banks were buying a euro with 4.2660 lei and selling it for 4.2680 lei.

In the region, the Polish zloty waved between 4.1554 and 4.1939 versus the euro, while Hungary's forint fluctuated between 272.43 and 273.46 per euro, both showing an uptrend.

For the U.S. dollar, NBR’ exchange rate dropped 0.55 percent to 2.9247 lei per dollar, from 2.9410 in the previous session.
