Two new participants admitted to RoClear system
Central Depository has admitted Volksbank Romania as participant to the clearing settlement and registry system in the role of custodian agent and Piraeus Bank as a new member, according to a press release of the institution.
Piraeus Bank will not operate in the role of custodian agent. The bank was previously acting as clearing participant to Central Depository system.
The number of companies authorized by the institution as custodian agents to the RoClear system is now at 13, while the number of companies authorized as participants to clearing settlement and registry system but not in the role of custodian agent is at 73.
Currently, in the Central Depository system there are 87 authorized members, of which 73 participants not in the role of custodian agent, 13 custodian agents and one central depository acting as member of RoClear system.
