Midday Forex: RON/EUR hits two-week low



The official exchange rate settled by the National Bank of Romania dropped 0.6 percent to 4.2293 lei per euro, its highest level of the past two weeks, the national currency showing opposite trend compared to regional currencies, NewsIn informs.
NBR yesterday posted an exchange rate of 4.2552 lei per euro.

In the region, the Polish zloty fell from 4.1661 to 4.1840 against euro, while Hungary's forint remained at 271 versus the single European currency.

For the U.S. dollar, NBR’s benchmark exchange rate dropped 0.45 percent to 2.8617 lei per dollar, from 2.8746 in the previous session.
