Generali Insurance appoints new commercial director
Stefan Vancek has been officially appointed as commercial director and member of the directorate of Generali Insurance Romania, where he will oversee the development and administration of the company’s distribution channels.
Prior to joining the local subsidiary of Generali Insurance, Stefan Vancek (photo) was leading the commercial teams of Generali PPF Holding, one of the biggest insurers in Central and Eastern Europe, Ceska Poistovna Slovakia, third largest insurer in Slovakia and QBE.
“The new role as a commercial director in Romania is certainly a great challenge to me, especially under current economic conditions. I am confident in the professionalism and expertise of the team in Romania and I think that together we will successfully achieve our objectives”, said Stefan Vancek.
Slovakian-born Vancek has previously served as director business development at Generali PPF Holding in Czech Republic and in 2008 he assumed the role of deputy sales director at Ceska Poistovna in Bratislava, Slovakia.
From 2002 until 2005, Vancek was executive sales director for QBE in Slovakia.
