MOL expands card acceptance network in Austria

The local subsidiary of oil company MOL has expanded its MOL Gold fuel card acceptance network in Austria as of November 1. The cards can be used for buying fuel for any vehicle without trading fee.
“MOL card is a cost-reduction payment tool through: VAT refund, the possibility of paying road taxes without any additional fees and GPS monitoring”, said Zsolt Szalay (photo), country chairman MOL Romania.

Cards, which are geared towards corporate clients whose fuel consumption exceeds 1,000 liters per month, are currently accepted in over 700 filing stations in Austria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. “Considering that MOL group runs a constantly growing international filing station network, these fuel cards will be accepted in other areas as well”, the oil company said in a press release.

MOL holds five oil refineries in Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia and Italy, and has a refining capacity of 23.5 million tons per year. MOL has over 1,500 filling stations in Central and South-Eastern Europe. The group also operates 5,000km high-pressure natural gas pipeline and is involved in the petrochemical business as well. MOL’s network in Romania covers 135 stations.
