FIC stocks end 1.22% higher

FIC stocks (BSE:SIF) at the Bucharest Stock Exchange finished up 1.22% today, in a steady session, amid intense speculation over Parliament’s decision to raise equity holding cap of 1%.
Traders’ lively interest in FICs was reflected on the market’s liquidity, that was 70% generated by transactions with FIC shares.

“I believe the scenario remains highly speculative, with FICs continuing to stir sentiment in the market. However, it is difficult to say when the Parliament will reach a final decision on equity holding cap. It is a purely political decision”, said Florin Irimin, broker at Intercapital Invest.

According to the news in the media, deputies will add the project on their early-December agenda. Deputy Chamber will give the final decision, after the Senate passed the initiative.

“We hope the episode to end in December so we can focus on other things at the stock market, such as public offerings, brining new companies, and so on”, Irimin added.
