Groupama to recruit 3,000 annually by 2012
French-based insurance company Groupama will recruit 3,000 employees annually in 2010, 2011 and 2012, as the number of job applications on its website increased three-fold over the past nine months, to more than 100,000 applications a year, said the company.
Over 3,000 people joined the insurance group this year, in line with its early 2009 forecasts.
The group runs operations in Romania as well, where it acquired Asiban, BT Asigurari and OTP Garancia.
Groupama posted 11.9% decline in revenues for its operations in Romania to €104 million, led by life and health lines.
The insurer has subsidiaries in 13 countries, mainly in Europe, and its international insurance business generate around 30% of its revenues from premiums. Its insurance division employs 11,000 worldwide.
