Raiffeisen Leasing appoints new chief executive



Felix Daniliuc has been named chief executive of Raiffeisen Leasing, effective January 1, after serving as deputy chief executive since October last year. He will replace Mihaela Mateescu whose term ended on December 31, 2009.
Mihaela Mateescu has been promoted as chief executive in 2006.

Felix Daniliuc (photo), former deputy CEO brings an 18-year experience in banking, in sectors such as trade finance, custody, cash management, retail banking, direct sales and branch network management.

“I am pleased to take up the new professional challenge, in difficult market conditions. For 2010, we plan to develop our customer base and to actively look to expand our service offerings as well as to increase customer satisfaction,” said the new chief executive of Raiffeisen Leasing.

Founded in 2002, Raiffeisen Leasing IFN SA is member of Raiffeisen Group, equally held by Raiffeisen-Leasing International GmbH Austria and Raiffeisen Bank SA Romania. As of 2004, Raiffeisen Leasing is member of ALB (Association of Financial Institutions in Romania).

In 2008, Raiffeisen Leasing recorded turnover of €191 million, 27% down from 2007, on global economic crisis.
