Vladescu: amendments that provide overhead expenses will not be passed

The Minister of Finance, Sebastian Vladescu said he hadn’t yet talked with anyone about the amendments to state budget, but stressed that any proposal that incurred overhead expenses to state budget would be rejected.
“We will review every amendment but those that provide additional expenses to state budget will not be passed, as far as I am concerned,” said Vladescu.

He made a reference to the amendment that provides a reduction in social contributions and a raise in pension point.

The MPs within the social security committees have passed the budget law provisions on social insurances, but the 17 amendments endorsed by the opposition, such as the reduction of social contributions level by 10% and the increase in pension point to 826.2 lei from 732.8 lei to the Government’s budget draft, would deepen the pension budget deficit to €2.5 billion.
